Sky Cable Corporation (or simply SkyCable or Sky) is a Filipino cable telecommunications company and the country's largest cable television provider. The company operates in Mega Manila and provincially through its various subsidiaries. The company is a subsidiary of the Filipino media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corporation and is based in Pasig City.

It was founded in 6 June 1990 as Central CATV, Inc. by Benpres Holdings Corporation (now Lopez Holdings Corporation). Today it has expanded to offer digital cable, broadband internet, and VoIP to its over half a million subscribers in Mega Manila.

On 6 June 1990, Sky Cable Corporation was incorporated as Central CATV, Inc.On 25 March 1991, Sky Vision Corporation, a holding company incorporated with the primary purpose of buying and owning stocks of Central CATV, Inc. was founded.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Works with Employee Relations Head in the administration of Employee Relations functions across the different SKY systems nationwide. Champions HR programs that promote employee well-being and healthy partnership between Management and Union. Develops and ensures consistent implementation of HR policies related to employee welfare and labor relations. Consults with and advises management on related issues. Negotiates CBA with unions. Manages grievance procedures and oversees dispute resolution. Works closely with HR Managers, Department Heads, Legal or conciliators when attempting to prevent or resolve disagreements over union contracts and HR policies. Establishes relationships with union officials; leads labor-management meetings; and prepares studies and paperwork related to CBA negotiations.

REQUIREMENTS

    • College graduate, preferably of HR Management, Org Psychology, Industrial/Management Engineering
    • Must have 3-5 years of experience in Employee Relations and Compensation Management in a unionized environment
    • Strong knowledge of Philippine Labor Laws, employee relations concept and functions, and compensation management
    • Strong report writing and policy formulation skills
    • Has strong personal mastery and stress tolerance, and able to establish strong relationships across different levels of the organization and with regional systems. Must be resilient
    • Can communicate effectively in both English and Pilipino
