The Company has interests in content development and production, cable and satellite television services, merchandising and licensing, mobile and online multimedia services, glossy magazine publishing, video and audio post production, and overseas services, all of which complement and enhance ABS-CBN's strength in content production and distribution.


    1. Formulates a company-wide emergency and disaster preparedness program and submits the same to the Head, Safety and Events Risk Management Department for endorsement to and approval by top management.
    2. Formulates a program of instruction and conducts training seminars for employees to include those of subsidiaries and RNG units that they may attain a credible individual and collective preparedness for various major emergencies and disasters.
    3. Screens and selects employee-volunteers who will undergo first responder training.
    4. Formulates a program of instructions (POI) and conducts first responder training course for employee-volunteers.
    5. Organizes graduates of first responder training into ABS-CBN Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams (Medium capacity) based on the standards of the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), United Nations’ Office for Coordination on Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
    6. Determines and cause the procurement of equipment and equipage for use by ABS-CBN Medium USAR teams (INSARAG standard).
    7. Plans and oversees the conduct of specialized training to upgrade the capability and capacity of the ABS-CBN Medium USAR teams to the level of technical rescue that meet the INSARAG standard.
    8. Steer ABS-CBN USAR teams towards gaining INSARAG External Classification (IEC).
    9. Performs other related duties as directed by the Head, Corporate Security and Safety.


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Conduct of training survey; formulation and implementation of training programs and modules; project management; proficient in oral and written English communication; public speaking; instructor; computer-literate; highly proficient in organizing teams and coordinating staff and other support elements.
    • At least seven (7) years of combined work experience in the field of occupational safety, fire-fighting, search and rescue, emergency medical response and disaster preparedness, at least supervisor or equivalent level.
