Prior to the shutdown of its broadcast operations in 2020, ABS-CBN was the largest television network in the Philippines. As a radio broadcast company, it operated 22 radio stations including anchor radio stations in Mega Manila, DZMM and DWRR, in the AM and FM bands, respectively.
The company delivers television programming outside of the Philippines to over 3 million viewers in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and other countries in Asia, through the internet and the Company’s global distribution platform, TFC, using DTH satellite service, cable television channels, IPTV, mobile applications and video streaming services. Its offerings are further complemented by subsidiaries focused on other multimedia services such as film production, music recording, telecommunications, and magazine and book publishing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive traffic, engagement, and audience loyalty for assigned digital platform. This role blends creativity with data-driven insights to ensure ABS-CBN’s content and platform reaches and resonates with key digital audiences, especially in the Philippines and abroad.
Strategy & Planning
- Develop digital marketing strategies that boost audience reach and time spent on assigned digital platform.
- Identify trends, insights, and platform updates that impact web and social performance and adapt plans accordingly.
- Work closely with product, editorial, content, and data teams to align marketing efforts with programming and publishing calendars.
Campaign Development & Execution
- Lead campaign ideation and execution for key content launches, thematic pushes, and seasonal promotions.
- Develop and manage content calendars for assigned digital platform posts, paid media and future promotions
- Coordinate with internal creative teams to produce eye-catching assets that drive clicks, shares, and brand affinity.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Track KPIs such as pageviews, sessions, click-through rate (CTR), engagement rate, and user growth.
- Optimize campaigns based on performance data from Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and other reporting tools.
- Propose and test new tactics (A/B testing, cross-posting, video thumbnails, headline testing, etc.) for continuous improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Liaise with the ABS-CBN lines of businesses, and editorial teams for priority content highlights.
- Collaborate with ad sales, content partnerships, and audience development to ensure platform growth and monetization alignment.
- Assist in preparing campaign reports and business reviews for internal stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably with a focus on content platforms or media brands.
- Strong understanding of web publishing dynamics, Facebook algorithm updates, and digital content promotion.
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and highly organized with excellent communication skills.
- Passion for digital media, Filipino content, and audience engagement.
