Prior to the shutdown of its broadcast operations in 2020, ABS-CBN was the largest television network in the Philippines. As a radio broadcast company, it operated 22 radio stations including anchor radio stations in Mega Manila, DZMM and DWRR, in the AM and FM bands, respectively.
The company delivers television programming outside of the Philippines to over 3 million viewers in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and other countries in Asia, through the internet and the Company’s global distribution platform, TFC, using DTH satellite service, cable television channels, IPTV, mobile applications and video streaming services. Its offerings are further complemented by subsidiaries focused on other multimedia services such as film production, music recording, telecommunications, and magazine and book publishing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Multimedia Specialist uses graphic design, video editing and web development software and web applications to create content for ABS-CBN’s digital platforms. He/She shall also be responsible for creating infographics, art cards, thumbnails, advertising materials, animation and other multimedia executions that are used in various ABS-CBN websites and social media accounts.
- Design complex graphics using independent judgment and creativity through the use of computer equipment and software.
- Create two-dimensional and three-dimensional images depicting objects in motion or illustrating a process, using computer animation or modeling programs.
- Apply story development, directing, cinematography, and editing to motion pictures to create storyboards that show the flow of the story and map out key scenes and characters.
- Create and apply titles and transitions on video stories.
- Create basic designs, drawings, and illustrations for web pages.
- Develop briefings, brochures, multimedia presentations, web pages, promotional products, technical illustrations, and computer artwork for use in products, technical manuals, literature, newsletters and slide shows.
- Participate in design and production of multimedia executions, including but not limited to such responsibilities as production coordination, scheduling, progress tracking and publishing.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree to acquire essential technological skills and develop an artistic eye for detail.
- Should have knowledge of graphic, video and animating software.
- Must have above average skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Must stay updated with rapidly changing trends and upgrades in technology to create designs and special effects for electronic media.
