Prior to the shutdown of its broadcast operations in 2020, ABS-CBN was the largest television network in the Philippines. As a radio broadcast company, it operated 22 radio stations including anchor radio stations in Mega Manila, DZMM and DWRR, in the AM and FM bands, respectively.
The company delivers television programming outside of the Philippines to over 3 million viewers in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and other countries in Asia, through the internet and the Company’s global distribution platform, TFC, using DTH satellite service, cable television channels, IPTV, mobile applications and video streaming services. RESPONSIBILITIES
The SWE Specialist 2, writes, shoots, and produces video stories for News Digital and its various platforms (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok etc.) and all INCA Platforms.
- Brainstorms for new series ideas and content that aligns with the group’s business objectives.
- Attends and actively participates in the weekly meetings and submits viable topics/story suggestions for content.
- Works closely with the Researchers, DEG Specialists and SWE Specialist 1 to identify production requirements.
- Writes the script for the digital content for submission and approval of the SWE Specialist 1.
- Identifies the audio-visual production requirements based on the story’s concept and incorporates it in the script; Allocates program resources and cost efficiently and effectively.
- Shoots necessary material for the story and acts as team leader while on the field.
- Produces video stories in short-form, mid-form or long-form formats while taking into consideration concept, branding, and equity.
- Edits materials/raw video and supervises other requirements for post-production like scoring and graphics.
- Submits edited video story to the SWE Specialist 1 for preview.
- Writes title and description and suggested thumbnail for each upload to be submitted to SWE Specialist 1.
REQUIREMENTS
- College graduate preferably Mass Communication / Journalism / or any related course
- Adept at operating DSLR video camera
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Able to write in English and Tagalog
