RESPONSIBILITIES

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Digital Sales Strategist provides Digital Sales supports the sales and revenue objectives of the Ad Sales team through Strategic Revenue Planning/Maximization & Platform Planning, Target Segment Understanding, Data & Advertiser Analysis, Macro Analysis and Media Buying & Planning.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

    1. Strategic Revenue Planning/Maximization
      1. Formulation of digital sales strategies and deployment tools/tactics to maximize package paid by advertisers, check and maximize advertiser opportunities
      2. Review, setting & evaluation of appropriate pricing models
      3. Review of packaging guidelines & valuations to ensure “salability” and competitiveness
      4. Ensures weekly sales deployment of new programs is managed and updates cascaded by providing research insights to Sales Heads/ AEs and to the Trade.
    2. Target Segment Understanding
      1. Develop digital sales package templates based on target segments
    3. Data and Advertiser Analysis
      1. Analysis of client/advertiser’s sales performance for the formulation of relevant digital sales strategies
      2. Analysis and comparison of projected sales versus actual sales
      3. Advertiser analysis/industry trending
      4. Load monitoring and analysis per program
    4. Pricing
      1. Recommends pricing model and valuation of media products. Leads preparation of negotiation primers and acts as co-lead in the annual negotiation process with key advertisers
      2. Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs and results
    5. Process & systems
      1. Recommends and administers policies and procedures to enhance operations
    6. Macro Analysis
      1. Media Landscape
      2. Company and competitor analysis
      3. Business & economic trends
    7. Other Sales Support Functions
      1. Development of sales projection tools and processes to help sales team track and manage their respective businesses
      2. Problem solving: draw out support of Sales, Marketing and client to support difficult project/pitches

REQUIREMENTS

    • Graduate of any 4-year course but bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or any related course
    • Work Experience – minimum of 2 years’ experience as a strategist in Advertising, Sales, Marketing, or its equivalent; preferably with related experience in media agency and digital sales
    • Must be/possess the following
      • exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
      • superior interpersonal skills and be able to create rapport with people of all demographics
      • polished and maintains a professional, put-together demeanor
      • confident, ambitious, self-motivated and should strive when working independently
      • keen listener able to pick up clues that will help close sales.
