RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Account Executive is primarily responsible for achieving assigned advertising sales revenue targets by performing the following job functions:
     
    1. Business Acquisition and Development
      1. Identify, pursue and sign-up new clients through one’s own network and by maximizing ABS-CBN’s business acquisition initiatives led by the Trade Marketing Manager.
      2. Grow the business of existing clients by conducting periodic business reviews for the purpose of identifying growth opportunities.
      3. Strategize / conduct long term sales planning with the client
      4. Meet the annual sales targets
         
    2. Market Knowledge and Customer Understanding
      1. Work independently to gather information about the client’s market, including trends, competitors, outlook, etc.
      2. Work with client to understand their brand offering, needs, messaging and overall strategy.
      3. Effectively manage book of business using available tools.
         
    3. Initiatives Development and Client Pitching
      1. With an understanding of client’s needs, drive the exercise of developing initiatives utilizing ABS-CBN’s various platforms and content:
        • Write the creative brief to serve as guide during ideation process.
        • Facilitate group discussion with cross-functional teams and ensure a productive outcome.
        • Synthesize agreements and discussion highlights.
      2. Prepare a clear, effective and impactful presentation deck.
      3. Lead the actual pitch presentation to client.


     
    1. Client Servicing, Project Management, Campaign Implementation and Reporting
    1. Serve as the liaison between the client and/or agency and ABS-CBN. The Marketing Solutions Specialist should be a dependable solutions provider.  They are expected to be on top of all projects,  knowledgeable about ABS-CBN’s products and services and able to address the needs of the client or agency in a timely manner.
    2. Manage all aspects of the sales cycle, including media plan or media package  / Internal Order (I.O.) preparation and approval, inputting the order in internal systems (OMS, iFAST), and coordinating with ad operations teams to ensure smooth implementation.
    3. Lead the implementation of approved brand activities, in close coordination with the various cross-functional teams in ABS-CBN, including Global Adsales team, production team, BU/Platform Heads, ad operations teams, marketing, finance, among others.
    4. Monitor and evaluate the outcomes and recommend action points based on results and analyses.
    5. Prepare the post-implementation report and present or submit to client.
    6. Address critical matters by being able to provide solutions / alternatives  
    7. May help in following up client payables and collect payments for advertising placements – but only for special cases as this is a Finance responsibility

REQUIREMENTS

    • Graduate of any 4-year course but Bachelor’s Degre in Advertising, business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or English is a plus
    • Work Experience – minimum of 2 years’ experience in Advertising, Sales, Marketing, or its equivalent; preferably with strong background in media agency, digital sales and marketing
    • Must be/possess the following
      • exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
      • superior interpersonal skills and be able to create rapport with people of all demographics
      • polished and maintains a professional, put-together demeanor
      • confident, ambitious, self-motivated and should strive when working independently
      • keen listener able to pick up clues that will help close sales.
