BUSINESS SUMMARY

ABS-CBN Shared Service Center Pte. Ltd. (SSC) is a captive service provider for ABS-CBN Corporation and its local, regional and global subsidiaries. The parent company of SSC is ABS-CBN Corporation.

SSC is primarily engaged in providing support services for Finance and Accounting, IT, HR, and Order Management and Fulfillment. The service center is a foreign company duly organized and incorporated under the laws of Singapore with a branch located at Eugenio Lopez Jr. Communications Center (ELJCC), Eugenio Lopez Drive, Quezon City.

The facility at ELJCC has about 300 employees and has been operational since September 1, 2009. The company is expected to significantly increase its headcount over the next five years with the impending service expansion.

SSC is mainly interested in sharing best practices at IBPAP given the company's unique background in the Broadcasting Industry. The company is looking forward to get in touch with other shared service organizations to benchmark on processes, systems and service expansion strategies. The center is on its journey from a developing organization to a mature captive shared services catering not only to ABS-CBN companies but also to its affiliates in the Lopez Conglomerate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The Asset Specialist is part of a team who plan, coordinate, and implement for the accurate accounting, reporting, controlling and safeguarding of fixed assets.
    • Accountable for equipment documentation and tracking, process control, and master data integrity.
    • Supports the Service Delivery Manager in developing an efficient and effective fixed asset count. 
    • Captures and analyzes the asset count reconciliations and be able to present the outcome as well as to provide insights to clients/stakeholders. 
    • Provide assistance to other team members and management team when required.
    • Participate in inter-department cross training and deployment to ensure continuity of service.
    • Work within existing procedures and processes ensuring clear and concise documentation is created and maintained as such procedures and processes evolve over time.
    • A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks, however the specialist should also be able to generate new and innovative solutions to complex problems, and proposes improvements to processes.
    • Participate and assist SDM in the overall attainment of Financial Reporting Team SLA's, KPIs/Operational Performance.
    • Ensure strong control environment by upholding compliance standards, internal controls and best practices
    • To escalate service issues internally and with external providers to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
    • Deliver a high level of Customer Service through a positive customer focused attitude.

REQUIREMENTS

    • Graduate of BS Accountancy
    • Must be a Certified Public Accountant
    • With at least 1 year experience in asset valuation, inventory, and cost accounting
    • SAP experience is required
    • Advanced MS Excel skills
    • Good analytical skills
    • Very good communication & organization skills
    • Detail oriented coupled with the ability to learn quickly
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Customer focused and team oriented
    • Must be willing to work in Quezon City
