    The Associate Producer will assist the Executive Producer/Immediate Superior in the overall TV & Digital content and production, of the assigned program accross ABS-CBN platforms, be it taped or live. They, in coordination with the EP, will manage all the resources of the program to create quality output.
    They will assist producers with other elements in the rundown and may write scripts or produce updates. They will help identifying video that should be published to the site, edit raw video, write associate meta data (headlines and descriptions), select and generate thumbnails images for that video. This person will have the opportunity to assist with and learn all aspects of video editing and publishing, studio production and producing and field production including shooting as well as writing.
    The Associate Producer assumes the responsibilities of the Executive Producer in his/her absence. 
    • Takes charge of the content and production of an approved topic.
    • He or she ensures the quality, accuracy and editorial soundness of the overall content of the program.
    The position is also in-charge of all the audio-visual (video and graphics) requirement of the program as well as the overall editing operations of those material.

    In accomplishing the aforementioned task, the Associate Producer must:
    1. Works closely with the EP in setting out the editorial direction of the assigned program, assessing the content and mapping out daily and long term plans to improve overall TV content / TV production of the assigned program.
    2. In the Absence of Executive Producer, he/she spearheads the pre-production meeting with the entire team and the program / segment host/s to discuss the topic line-up and cascade relevant information about the program.
    3. Assists the EP in screening, editing and evaluating scripts submitted by Segment Producers based on program concept, branding and equity, and in accordance with production, broadcast and ethical standards; 
    4. Oversees technical work from pre-production, actual production and post production/mastering to ensure that various production elements enhance the program’s concept through appropriate audio and visual elements;
    5. Monitors the efficiency of editors and segment producers in all post production tasks (i.e. editing speed, editing time vis-à-vis TFPO); 
    6. Monitors if program running time is within prescribed limit;  
    7. Trims the edited segment/mastered episode if running time is exceeded in the absence of the EP; 
    8. Previews edited and mastered video material prior to telecast and ensures that all shots put in the final edit are fit to be aired when assigned to do so by Executive Producer based on the establishes quality, standards and procedures. (“Fit” to mean no legal impediments, possessing proper attributions, courtesies, and sourcing, and complying with the INCA’s Code of Ethics.) 
    9. Makes sure that each member of the team submits required output on time; meets regularly with the staff and makes sure that program hosts and production team are informed of developments in news and current events, and in the organization. 
    10. Leads the post-production of the assigned program/s together with the Executive Producer, highlights the best practices and takes note of areas of improvement. 
    11. Directly supervises the Production Coordinator(s) and Production Assistant(s); 
    12. Monitors story coverage/program operations report prepared by Program Coordinator; 
    13. Monitors competition and identifies its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, constantly assesses program position in relation to it and reports these to the EP or personnel concerned; 
    14. Responsible for archiving episode (segment/spiel) scripts; 
    15. Attends weekly brainstorming meetings and submits viable topics/story suggestions for future episodes; 
    16. Recommends an appropriate technical production package for the program that is within budget; 
    17. Checks for errors, edit titles, tags and description, including end screens of video content for the assigned platform; 
    18. Coordinates with the different stakeholders such as the different units of Sales, Marketing, CCM, NSTM, TOD for any program requirement and make a good and sound recommendation for the improvement of the existing workflow for improved output. 
    19. Monitors the performance of program personnel and reports exemplary work and/or discrepancies to the EP; 
    20. Reviews (and rectifies if needed) financial/administrative documents prepared by Program Coordinator; 
    21. Submits reviewed financial documents to the EP; 
    22. Handles and disburses the program fund; liquidates budget used during production; 
    23. Allocates program resources efficiently and cost effectively to ensure that production requirements and deadlines are met; 
    24. Responsible for safekeeping of storage materials (CF, SD, Micro SD, Hard drives) during shoot; 
    25. Represents the program in management, sales, client, and departmental meetings with or in the absence of the EP and/or if so assigned; 
    26. Assist EP in handling on-ground events related to the program.
