The Company also owns the leading-cinema and music production and distribution outfits in the country. It brings its content to worldwide audiences via cable, satellite, online and mobile.

The Company has interests in content development and production, cable and satellite television services, merchandising and licensing, mobile and online multimedia services, glossy magazine publishing, video and audio post production, and overseas services, all of which complement and enhance ABS-CBN's strength in content production and distribution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Associate Producer will directly report to the Executive Producer and shall be responsible for the following tasks:
    • To manage handle, prioritize and respond to numerous and simultaneous tasks.
    • To supervise the following: pre, post and actual taping/production processes, and to determine the quality based on the requirements of the show (editing,scoring, lighting,audio, & camera).
    • To select and provide the correct set, location, d├ęcor, wardrobe,effects, and other production elements to be used in the show.
    • To apply one's knowledge of the different production equipment (camera, lights, audio, post-prod) through effective supervision of editing and detection of audio and video discrepances; and to monitor inventory and distribution of supplies and tapes.
    • To analyze scripts, suggest creative improvement based on a full grasp of concept; and to understand & make creative calls regarding editing styles.
    • To make sound and effective decisions and related solutions regarding specific production concern (I.e. support roles, minor script revisions and creativity).
    • To maximize time and usage of equipment during taping, and adhere to the process flow and timetable of the program; and to ensure that requirements (supplies, tapes, etc) are complete prior pullout.
    • To implement sales program policies (I.e. OBB,CBB); and to adhere to company policies, rules and regulations of the MTRCB and KBP
    • To generate the required production reports (e.g. discrepancy reports) and recommend appropriate actions.
    • To implement and make value judgements in the casting cycle which include the following: matching the characters w/ the correct talents/ artists. checking and/or confirming the availability,schedule, and rates of talents. identifying alternative talents/artists.
    • To make suggestions as to the right Director, Asst.Director, Writer, Production Designer, Art Director and special effects in relation to the demands of the story.
    • To properly appropriate budget, and work within a set timetable; able to prioritize and control all program expenses.
    • To negotiate the talent fee for bit players and ensure that agreements are within the specified talent fee guidelines; able to negotiate rental fees of technical equipment.
    • To prioritize control, and monitor disbursement of weekly cash advances; Able to prioritize control  and minimize any purchases.
    • To source appropriate resources; Able to identify and prioritize, shift options and present better cost effect recommendations.
    • To sort-out receipts and other sources of expenses and  ensure that liquidation reports are submitted on time.
    • To develop/create the program's synopsis that would effectively guide in the development of promo and PR.

REQUIREMENTS

    • Graduate of a Bachelor's/College degree course in Broadcast Communication, Communication Arts and any course equivalent.
    • At least 1 to 2 years experience in events and production management.
    • Good organization and communication skills.
    • Knowledgeable and experienced in MS Office applications, editing concepts, and production workflow.
    • Excellent time management skills; able to organize priorities.
