RESPONSIBILITIES

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Audience Development Specialist helps execute the engagement strategy of the Integrated News division in a manner that reflects the brand values of the division. He/She designs specific interactions points in social and other digital media and ensures these plans are deployed regularly to ABS-CBN News' digital communities. He/She also helps develop and implement activities that engage and retain audiences such as SEO campaigns, live chats, polls, branded content and others. He/She also monitors audience behavior to check for trends, sentiment and threats and prepares audience engagement reports.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Identifies interaction points with the communities ABS-CBN News serves, and designs possibilities on social and on search accordingly;
    • Searches for and creates new opportunities to reach and engage audiences - whether through SEO or other campaigns, polls, chats, email;
    • Builds, engages, and manages communities; develops loyal audiences of News Digital Media by providing opportunity for deepening engagement of users - may be done through participation and moderation of online chats, putting up online polls, moderation of comments on the web and other such conversations that occur in the digital space;
    • Prepares report on audience engagement, and monitors audience behavior and the like;
    • Supports the BUH and the Head of Audience Development in developing news digital products by reporting emerging trends in social media, engagement and interactivity;
    • Transforms or assists in transforming news tips, feedback and other material from Integrated News programs and platforms, digital properties, social media, and mobile accounts into content that can be "bicycled" or farmed out across news.abs-cbn.com and others News Digital properties such as social and mobile accounts.

REQUIREMENTS

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Know community building, cultivation and management;
    • Be familiar with organizing on-ground events that may be closely linked to online interaction activities;
    • Be familiar with digital and its platforms;
    • Know management of social media accounts;
    • Know search engine optimization;
    • Know how to gather information, present data in, analyze multimedia (text, video, audio)
    • Know Tagalog and English news-writing and newsgathering
