ABS-CBN Corporation is the Philippines' leading information and entertainment multimedia conglomerate. The Company is primarily involved in television and radio broadcasting, as well as in the production of television and radio programming for domestic and international audiences and other related businesses. ABS-CBN produces a wide variety of engaging, world-class entertainment programs that are aired on free-to-air television.

The Company is also one of the leading radio broadcasters, operating eighteen radio stations throughout the key cities of the Philippines. ABS-CBN provides news and entertainment programming for nine channels on cable TV and operates the country's largest cable TV service provider. RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Best Boy coordinates with the equipment logistical needs of the gaffer. Experience in handling Audio-Video-Lights broadcast equipment and production protocols is necessary for the position, as well as electrical or minor engineering knowledge. Best Boys act as the liaison between lighting and production teams, and communicates with the maintenance and logistics groups, regarding equipment from start to end operations. 

REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree (preferably ECE, EE, Film Production) or equivalent in relevant work experience
    • With working knowledge of computer software-based programs (MS Office, etc.)
    • At least 1 year working experience in a broadcast facility
    • Must have knowledge in electrical and at least minor electronics engineering
    • Must be able to follow and implement technical and design instructions
    • Must be competent in Broadcast and Production Equipment Management:
      • Understands broadcast facilities operation, function and features, and can read schematic diagrams and system designs
      • Knows the different signals as well as test instruments for each domain
      • Able to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance (i.e. cleaning, testing, and preventive maintenance)
    • Good knowledge of business oeprations especially in broadcast technical operations
    • Could operate measurement equipment and test equipment
    • Must be willing to work long or extended working hours and to travel
