BUSINESS SUMMARY

ABS-CBN Shared Service Center Pte. Ltd. (SSC) is a captive service provider for ABS-CBN Corporation and its local, regional and global subsidiaries. The parent company of SSC is ABS-CBN Corporation.

SSC is primarily engaged in providing support services for Finance and Accounting, IT, HR, and Order Management and Fulfillment. The service center is a foreign company duly organized and incorporated under the laws of Singapore with a branch located at Eugenio Lopez Jr. Communications Center (ELJCC), Eugenio Lopez Drive, Quezon City.

The facility at ELJCC has about 300 employees and has been operational since September 1, 2009. The company is expected to significantly increase its headcount over the next five years with the impending service expansion.

SSC is mainly interested in sharing best practices at IBPAP given the company's unique background in the Broadcasting Industry. The company is looking forward to get in touch with other shared service organizations to benchmark on processes, systems and service expansion strategies. The center is on its journey from a developing organization to a mature captive shared services catering not only to ABS-CBN companies but also to its affiliates in the Lopez Conglomerate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for the Financial Consolidation (i.e., consolidated financial statements, financial report for board deck, statutory reports) and Intercompany Reconciliation service delivery.
    • Facilitate monthly discussion with Controllers for the financial reporting board decks and intercompany reconciliation.
    • Work closely with client, Finance and Operations team to ensure completeness and integrity of financial information as it relates to financial consolidation and intercompany reconciliation.
    • Together with the General Ledger Subject Matter Expert, shall be the technical point-persons for policies implementation and procedures relating to financial consolidation and intercompany reconciliation.
    • Attend and participate the monthly Balance Sheet Reviews, Revenue Package Reviews and other related activities.
    • Assist internal and external auditors during the conduct of their audit engagements.
    • Work in support of the Operations Manager - Reporting and the leadership team towards the achievement of various business and client initiatives.
    • Initiate, lead and participate in various continuous improvement programs to promote efficient and effective service delivery.
    • Ensure strong control environment by enforcing compliance standards, internal controls and best practices.
    • Deliver a high level of Customer Service through a positive customer-focused mindset.

REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
    • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the areas of Financial Reporting, Consolidation, External / Internal Audit or General Accounting.
    • Strong financial consolidation and intercompany reconciliation experience, preferably with exposure in internal/external audit and/or controllership and/or finance service delivery.
    • Experience in ERP systems is a must.
    • Knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS). Must have strong background in drafting/reviewing consolidated financial statements.
    • Proven strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of Robotics Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Machine Learning as it relates to finance service delivery is a plus.
    • Willing to work in Quezon City
