Prior to the shutdown of its broadcast operations in 2020, ABS-CBN was the largest television network in the Philippines. As a radio broadcast company, it operated 22 radio stations including anchor radio stations in Mega Manila, DZMM and DWRR, in the AM and FM bands, respectively.
The company delivers television programming outside of the Philippines to over 3 million viewers in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and other countries in Asia, through the internet and the Company’s global distribution platform, TFC, using DTH satellite service, cable television channels, IPTV, mobile applications and video streaming services. RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION SUMMARY
The Facebook Content Specialist produces content for ABS-CBN News’s sub Facebook pages — ANC, TV Patrol, and INCA — under the Facebook Content Monetization Project.
Using ABS-CBN News’s available materials, the specialist is responsible for identifying content opportunities that are non-breaking in nature, producing the actual content, and publishing it on the relevant Facebook page. He/she must craft compelling social media copies to accompany the content.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produces Facebook content, including video cuts, headline and quote art cards, infographics, and other visual storytelling formats

- Coordinates with graphic artists and/or other creative staff to ensure output is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with monetization goals
- Identifies and curate videos suitable for publication on Facebook, particularly those eligible for in-stream ads or Reels monetization
- Writes engaging, audience-tailored captions and promotional copy for all social media posts
- Monitors key performance metrics and make data-informed adjustments to the content calendar and strategy
- Stays updated on Meta’s monetization guidelines and best practices for content eligibility
- Combined published content must be at a minimum of 25 per shift
REQUIREMENTS
• A degree in journalism, communication, or other related fields
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both English and Filipino
• Ability to write clear, concise, and compelling social media copy
• Interest and knowledge of Facebook and its audience engagement strategies
• Basic knowledge of graphics and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut)
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Passionate about social media storytelling
• A team player with a collaborative mindset
