BUSINESS SUMMARY

ABS-CBN Music is a Line of Business (LOB) under ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc. (AFPI). The ABS-CBN Music Group is engaged in the business of music content production, marketing and promotions, including allied businesses such as music publishing and music distribution, talent management and events organization. The Group’s activities revolve around these brands: Music Labels (Star Music, Tarsier Records, Star Pop, DNA Music, and other sub-labels), MOR Entertainment and OneMusicPH.

ABS-CBN Music also provides music servicing and copyright clearance services primarily to other business units of the ABS-CBN group.  Complementary to this business is the management of artists through the Music Management Group and the creation, mounting and line production of events with ABS-CBN Events. The Company also produces commissioned recordings for films and television shows, commercial advertisements, and events for brands and other clients. The Company also controls a valuable music publishing and sound recording catalogue of iconic Filipino hit songs which covers more than half a century. These are licensed to third parties for various usages, including theme songs in TV shows and films, commercial advertisements, and recordings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Attends brainstorming activities and conceptualizes content executions and initiatives for ABS-CBN Music
    • Creates and manages story and content ideas considering the audience and data from ABS-CBN Music’s digital assets and analytics team
    • Produces various digital content (whether repurposed or original executions) for ABS-CBN Music's social media platforms
    • In-charge of post-production (edit, score and render) of video features and promotional materials for ABS-CBN Music (in close coordination with the different labels of ABS-CBN Music).
    • Ensures timely release of videos published in various platforms (e.g., lyric videos, official audio, in studio version, performance videos, etc.)
    • Keeps abreast with video trends, digital marketing trends and technological advancements in the industry (e.g. applications, software, and other forms of technological tools)
    • Attends and covers (1) all possible news-worthy ABS-CBN Music activities (2) assigned on-ground events (3) behind-the scene activities for content creation
    • Monitors day-to-day trending topics & shows and creates bite-sized video content (e.g. verticals for YouTube shorts, Facebook & Instagram reels) for ABS-CBN Music.
    • Keeps track of the targets set for various platforms (e.g. YouTube) and published/uploaded video executions for tracking of audience response
    • Researches best digital trends and practices that can be used for repurpose initiatives
    • Attends to documentation and administrative requirements as necessary
    • Performs other tasks to be assigned from time to time.
