RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Researcher acquires, sorts, and communicates information, videos, case studies from various sources to be used by the production team.
     
    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

    1. Establishes and builds a network of reliable sources
    2. Does intensive background research on assigned topics inclusive OF BUT NOT limited to the following: related documents, case studies, pertinent video material;
    3. Provides data, information and video support to Junior Producer/Segment Producer/Field Producer in the coverage of stories;
    4. Works closely with the SWE Specialists and DEG Video Editors and DEG Graphics to identify production requirements and provide support accordingly. This includes but are not limited to: scheduling, transportation arrangements, equipment requests, location permits, props, photos, video etc. 
    5. Attends and actively participates in the weekly brainstorming meetings and submits viable topics/story suggestions for future stories; 

REQUIREMENTS

    • College graduate preferably Mass Communication / Journalism / or any related course.
