Sky Cable Corporation (or simply SkyCable or Sky) is a Filipino cable telecommunications company and the country's largest cable television provider. The company operates in Mega Manila and provincially through its various subsidiaries. The company is a subsidiary of the Filipino media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corporation and is based in Pasig City.

It was founded in 6 June 1990 as Central CATV, Inc. by Benpres Holdings Corporation (now Lopez Holdings Corporation). Today it has expanded to offer digital cable, broadband internet, and VoIP to its over half a million subscribers in Mega Manila.

On 6 June 1990, Sky Cable Corporation was incorporated as Central CATV, Inc. On 25 March 1991, Sky Vision Corporation, a holding company incorporated with the primary purpose of buying and owning stocks of Central CATV, Inc. was founded.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    POSITION SUMMARY
    The ER/LR and Compliance Management Head is the subject matter expert on topics related to employee and labor relations, collective bargaining negotiation and administration, discipline management, labor law compliance, and labor dispute settlement. He/She helps build a positive working environment/relationship between Management and Employees, including the unions. He/She develops CBA design/plan/strategy and oversees and maintains the smooth flow of the CBA negotiations. He/she ensures that HR/Employment contracts adhere to internal policies and legal standards. As Compliance Management Head, he/she oversees the compliance of the company with the relevant rules, regulations and standards of DOLE and other government agencies. 

    Responsibilities: 
    • Provides advice and guidance to management during CBA Contract negotiations, including drafting of counterproposals and facilitating meetings with union representatives
    • Oversees the Collective bargaining procedures, including drafting, reviewing and modifying proposals and agreements; verifies legal contract terminology and suggests additional rules and regulations, as necessary Communicates effectively with executives, managers and union representatives to create a positive working environment;   
    • Partners with the HR and Line Managers to help resolve conflicts and address employee’s grievances (if any) Analyzes work contracts and human resources policies to assess compliance with laws and collective agreements; recommends changes to contracts and policies to ensure compliance.
    • Manages labor grievances as needed by investigating circumstances of incident, validity of claims, adherence to contract policies and completion of resolution procedures
    • Coordinates with HR and other departments to create and sustain positive employee relations and facilitate effective communications between employees and management
    • Develops and present informational briefings for management to improve understanding of labor relations and promote improved contract and management solutions
    • Provides guidance to management during crisis situations, such as labor strikes, to facilitate effective negotiations and resolve issues quickly.
    • Develops ER/LR policies and procedures; 
    • Develops and/or Reviews the Company’s Code of Ethics and Discipline (COED)
    • Conducts Labor relations and CBA orientations to HR and line managers
    • Compliance Management  Reviews HR and TPA Contracts and ensures compliance with internal policies and legal standards
    • Monitors and ensures compliance with DOLE and Safety standards 

REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Relations/Labor Relations.
    • With more than five (5) years professional experience in Human Relations/Employee Relations in a Service Industry and/or with Companies with Union.
    • Strong decision-making skills with ability to manage multiple project.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communications.
    • CBA negotiation skill/experience.
    • Conflict resolution skills/experience.
    • Detail-oriented and dedicated to meeting deadlines.
