The company delivers television programming outside of the Philippines to over 3 million viewers in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and other countries in Asia, through the internet and the Company’s global distribution platform, TFC, using DTH satellite service, cable television channels, IPTV, mobile applications and video streaming services. Its offerings are further complemented by subsidiaries focused on other multimedia services such as film production, music recording, telecommunications, and magazine and book publishing. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Position Summary 
     
    Public Relations (PR) Accounts Officer is responsible for managing the image and reputation of the organization. S/he will be assigned to create and write press releases, deal with press inquiries, and assist in issues management and crisis communication. His/her responsibilities may include planning, implementing, and monitoring PR campaigns and strategies. Monitoring the public and media's opinion of the organization.  
     
    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Able to develop, execute, and monitor publicity plans
    • Conducts interviews, makes research, and writes news and feature releases for external media and other writing assignments
    • Prepares press kits, FAQs, presscon program scripts, interview Q & As, talking points, messages and assists in other press activities
    • Oversees the content of ABS-CBN Corporate Communication's social media accounts
    • Ensures key messages are aligned with the PR objectives
    • Monitors daily news and submits summaries for the "issues of the day"
    • Prepares and submits online PR reports regularly and in a timely manner to the accounts assigned
    • Performs other tasks assigned by his/her supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

    • Graduate of Journalism (preferably), Mass Communication, or Literature
    • At least 1 year of work experience in a PR agency will be an advantage
    • Excellent communication skills in English and Filipino, both orally and in writing
    • Has a nose for news, ability to write for different audiences and deliver clear copy, including proofreading and attention to details
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player
    • Creative, confident, and enthusiastic
    • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize assignments and time management skills
    • Computer savvy
    • Knowledge of search engine optimization will be an advantage
    • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.  
    • Demonstrated excellence in time management skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
    • Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment.
