ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc. (previously ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc.) is a committed advocate for public service in strategic sector of Philippine society. AFI aims to awaken hope in the Filipino through implementing projects via multi-sectoral partnerships in the spirit of bayanihan.

These are in child care and protection, education, environment, disaster management and community development. It is the public service arm of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation, one of Asia's biggest media conglomerates. It draws on the relationship to tap into the creativity and reach of media for its various programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    POSITION SUMMARY
    Primarily responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and implementing Science, Nature Conservation, Environmental Education, and Advocacy Programs with Government Agencies, LGUs, academe, communities, stakeholders, partners, and the public in the following areas:
    • Establishing partnerships and agreements with government and academic institutions, CSOs, NGOs, private sector, and communities
    • Development, planning and implementation of Citizen science, monitoring and conservation programs
    • Conceptualization, design and execution of Information, Education and Communication materials, activities, and campaigns
    • Organizing content, logistics, facilitators, volunteers, and participants for Events, Workshops and Outreach activities
    • Writing project proposals, budgets, and plans
    • Monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Citizen Science: Develop programs, seek funding, plan and conduct activities with community partners, stakeholders, local government, academic and research partners on ecosystem and biodiversity monitoring, conservation, and protection
    2. Information, Education and Communication: plan, coordinate and implement IEC programs and campaigns such as Eco Camps, Eco Clubs, Eco Academy, Employee Engagement, outreach and workshops
    3. Partnership engagement strategy: maintain a comprehensive overview of current partners and volunteers; and provide suggestions/steps to leverage partnerships in the site and project areas
    4. Public awareness and communication: engage the public through digital, broadcast and other channels to spread awareness about environmental issues, advocacy action, and programs of the Foundation

    As required: support other Foundation initiatives that are relevant to the goals and objectives of the program

REQUIREMENTS

    KNOWLEDGE
    • Advanced knowledge of science, environmental, and social concepts, and issues
    • Communicating science and conservation topics effectively
    • Measuring, tracking, and reporting. results and analyzing/solving issues
    • Researching and writing proposals using relevant tools such as Situation Model, Theory of Change, Logical Framework
    • Project and Event Planning, Management, and Execution

    EXPERIENCE / Educational Attainment Required
    • 1 to 2 years of significant experience in development project implementation and delivering results against targets
    • Degree in life science, engineering or environmental management is desirable

    • Excellent interpersonal, writing and presentation skills, including IT skills
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills
    • Budgeting and financial skills
    • Project Management
