Prior to the shutdown of its broadcast operations in 2020, ABS-CBN was the largest television network in the Philippines. As a radio broadcast company, it operated 22 radio stations including anchor radio stations in Mega Manila, DZMM and DWRR, in the AM and FM bands, respectively. 
 
The company delivers television programming outside of the Philippines to over 3 million viewers in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and other countries in Asia, through the internet and the Company’s global distribution platform, TFC, using DTH satellite service, cable television channels, IPTV, mobile applications and video streaming services. Its offerings are further complemented by subsidiaries focused on other multimedia services such as film production, music recording, telecommunications, and magazine and book publishing. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Creates and manages story and content ideas, considering reader and audience appeal  
    • Maintains a consistent look and feel throughout all digital properties 
    • Reviews, copyedits and proofreads all web content  
    • Conceptualizes and implements online activities to increase in viewership 
    • Oversees and manages the editorial team; conducts/attends regular meetings to keep the team members updated  
    • Delegates assignments and ensures that deliverables are completed and uploaded on time  
    • Develops content innovations that explore more formats and styles (such as on video and in social media) while ensuring production efficiencies of such projects 
    • Assists Editor-In-Chief with monitoring and reporting of properties’ performance as well as draws useful insights to maintain and improve traffic and brand 

REQUIREMENTS

    • Graduate of Mass Communication, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or other relevant field or equivalent education and experience
    • Understanding of digital platforms and their respective models & disciplines (video, mobile, social, tablet); excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Must have a background in web content and the ability to write concisely and effectively to create web experiences that are compelling, informative and user-friendly
    • Project management skills, with ability to organize and execute multiple projects under tight deadlines
    • At least 3 years demonstrated experience in web production and online content production
    • Has extensive knowledge, exposure or expertise in ANY of the following:
      • Fashion/beauty
      • Food
      • Weddings
      • Travel
      • Campus/youth
      • Parenting
      • Home/interior
