Prior to the shutdown of its broadcast operations in 2020, ABS-CBN was the largest television network in the Philippines. As a radio broadcast company, it operated 22 radio stations including anchor radio stations in Mega Manila, DZMM and DWRR, in the AM and FM bands, respectively. 
 
The company delivers television programming outside of the Philippines to over 3 million viewers in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and other countries in Asia, through the internet and the Company’s global distribution platform, TFC, using DTH satellite service, cable television channels, IPTV, mobile applications and video streaming services. Its offerings are further complemented by subsidiaries focused on other multimedia services such as film production, music recording, telecommunications, and magazine and book publishing. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Pitches, pursues and develops a story for purposes of long-form and in-depth production and reportage as required by the program concept, equity,  and branding.
    2. Writes the abstract/story outline for the segment for submission to the EP.
    3. Produces the assigned segments/stories (from pre to post-prod)
    4. Identifies the audio-visual production requirements based on the story’s concept and incorporates it in the script;
    5. Supervises the coverage of a segment/acts as team leader while on field;
    6. Directs the cameraman as necessary;
    7. Allocates program resources efficiently and cost effectively during coverage;
    8. Directly supervises technical work during pre-coverage, actual coverage, production/video editing and post-production of any given assigned story;
    9. Attends weekly brainstorming meetings and submits viable topics/story suggestions for future episodes;

REQUIREMENTS

    Preferably a graduate of Mass Communication / Journalism / or any related course.
