BUSINESS SUMMARY
ABS-CBN Music is a Line of Business (LOB) under ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc. (AFPI). The ABS-CBN Music Group is engaged in the business of music content production, marketing and promotions, including allied businesses such as music publishing and music distribution, talent management and events organization. The Group’s activities revolve around these brands: Music Labels (Star Music, Tarsier Records, Star Pop, DNA Music, and other sub-labels), MOR Entertainment and OneMusicPH.
ABS-CBN Music also provides music servicing and copyright clearance services primarily to other business units of the ABS-CBN group. Complementary to this business is the management of artists through the Music Management Group and the creation, mounting and line production of events with ABS-CBN Events. The Company also produces commissioned recordings for films and television shows, commercial advertisements, and events for brands and other clients. The Company also controls a valuable music publishing and sound recording catalogue of iconic Filipino hit songs which covers more than half a century. These are licensed to third parties for various usages, including theme songs in TV shows and films, commercial advertisements, and recordings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with all internal departments and artists to effectively and creatively plan and execute compelling marketing and digital campaigns for ABS-CBN Music Labels (including but not limited to Star Music, Star Pop, DNA Music) and it’s sub-labels.
- Creates release strategies, marketing timeline and tactics for the singles and albums to target market and specific territorial markets.
- Identifies visual directions and type of assets needed for the marketing execution.
- Ensures delivery of high guality creative visual output for ABS-CBN Music releases
- Implements music marketing plans from pre-release to the week of release
- Secures artist promo schedules, coordinates artist availability and updates artist growth
- Distributes marketing agendas and record meeting minutes to circulate afterward
- Initiates and coordinates production of promotional requirements and merch items such as posters, stickers, shirts, hoodies, etc.
- Handles promotional campaign including but not limited to artist guesting for TV, radio, digital shows and events.
- Creates and updates all artist marketing decks, marketing timelines, and other project-related documents.
- Collects, organizes, and circulates all artist assets including photos, artwork, logos, music, bio, teasers, etc. to necessary point personnel
- Manages audio and video release schedule documentation for both local and international releases.
- Communicates marketing drivers and pitch information for upcoming releases to digital streaming partners, including but not limited to Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, YouTube, Amazon, TikTok, etc.
- Builds relationships internally and externally to drive opportunities for the artists and the label.
- Prepares and monitors project P&L, budgeting, compliance controls of music marketing team
- Maximizes the potential of ABS-CBN Music catalogue through various marketing activities.
- Distributes marketing agendas and record meeting minutes to circulate afterward
- Monitors progress of projects (e.g. calendar, schedule, Charts, milestones, etc.)
- Uses analytics tools to generate weekly reports of various platforms such as Believe Backstage, Spotify For Artists, YouTube analytics, Social Media analytics, etc.
- Attends to documentation and administrative requirements as part of the completion of the services and day to day duties including calls, managing calendars, scheduling, etc.
- Keeps oneself updated to trends to craft effective and competitive marketing plan for artists and releases
- Performs other tasks may be assigned from time to time.
