BUSINESS SUMMARY

ABS-CBN Music is a Line of Business (LOB) under ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc. (AFPI). The ABS-CBN Music Group is engaged in the business of music content production, marketing and promotions, including allied businesses such as music publishing and music distribution, talent management and events organization. The Group’s activities revolve around these brands: Music Labels (Star Music, Tarsier Records, Star Pop, DNA Music, and other sub-labels), MOR Entertainment and OneMusicPH.

ABS-CBN Music also provides music servicing and copyright clearance services primarily to other business units of the ABS-CBN group.  Complementary to this business is the management of artists through the Music Management Group and the creation, mounting and line production of events with ABS-CBN Events. The Company also produces commissioned recordings for films and television shows, commercial advertisements, and events for brands and other clients. The Company also controls a valuable music publishing and sound recording catalogue of iconic Filipino hit songs which covers more than half a century. These are licensed to third parties for various usages, including theme songs in TV shows and films, commercial advertisements, and recordings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Brainstorms with the AMI team on the marketing campaign for ABS-CBN Music’s artists, audio & video releases (new and catalogue) and events.
    2. Creates marketing and promotions campaign and aligns executions, if needed with the project team for Promo including liaison and coordination with internal departments, inter- ABS-CBN Divisions like Entertainment, Global, etc.
    3. Conducts research about the artists, market, trends to align campaigns to the objectives set by the Department.
    4. Attends promotion executions and activities, and coordinates concerns to the proper Department or to the Label Heads, as may be necessary.
    5. Prepares creative builds for key people including but not limited to Content Team, Marketing Team, AdProm Team, Music Management Group and partner platforms (e.g. Spotify, iTunes, etc.)
    6. Proposes visual directives and concepts for photos, cover arts, videos and other marketing and promotional collaterals.
    7. May be assigned to present the plans to artists and artist management, and key stakeholders
    8. Assists in crafting branding for artists in line with sonic profile build for songs/creative direction of music
    9. Monitors promotional activities and executions including timelines and completion of the planned activities for AMI music releases, catalogue, and assets.
    10. Assists in the effective promotion of artists, songs and albums in different media through booking, coordination and activations which may be via on-ground and/or digital promotions in various platforms, in coordination of Promo project staff.
    11. Activates the approved publicity and promotional activities, as may be assigned by Immediate Superior. Tasks include but not limited to the following:
    a. Arranging and coordination of the guestings in TV, radio, events, conferences, mall shows, awards etc.
    b. Preparation of press release materials and write-ups
    c. Mounting of media launches, blog conferences and press conferences
    d. Effective coordination with media personnel, guests, key influencers, events organizers and promoters
    e. Attends to logistical and administrative requirements of the publicity and promotions activities
    f. Preparation and coordination of all materials needed in the smooth and effective guesting (e.g. minus 1, copy of the song, talk points, cheat sheet, artist profiles, etc.)
    g. Coordination with artists, Talent Managers, Handlers, Event organizers and partners.
    h. Attends to Publicity and promotions activities whether online or face-to-face to ensure the successful execution of the promotional plans and activations.
    12. Monitors progress of projects (e.g. calendar, schedule, Charts, milestones, etc.), updates and submits report to management based on agreements and timelines
    13. Assists in editing profile of artists in streaming platforms (e.g. Spotify)

    14. May attend events, shoots, on-ground promotional activations onsite as may be required to ensure execution of the agreed plans.
    15. Communicates, orchestrates and cascades marketing plan to the various teams including but not limited to Digital, Events and partners/distributors (e.g. Orchard), etc.
    16. Attends to documentation, administrative and operational requirements of ABS-CBN Music International
    17. May be requested to participate in online or onsite meetings
    18. Attends to other tasks as may be assigned form time, including participation in adhoc assignments for the successful launch and achievement of the objectives of the Company.
