ABS-CBN Shared Service Center Pte. Ltd. (SSC) is a captive service provider for ABS-CBN Corporation and its local, regional and global subsidiaries. The parent company of SSC is ABS-CBN Corporation.

SSC is primarily engaged in providing support services for Finance and Accounting, IT, HR, and Order Management and Fulfillment. The service center is a foreign company duly organized and incorporated under the laws of Singapore with a branch located at Eugenio Lopez Jr. Communications Center (ELJCC), Eugenio Lopez Drive, Quezon City.

The facility at ELJCC has about 300 employees and has been operational since September 1, 2009. The company is expected to significantly increase its headcount over the next five years with the impending service expansion.

SSC is mainly interested in sharing best practices at IBPAP given the company's unique background in the Broadcasting Industry. The company is looking forward to get in touch with other shared service organizations to benchmark on processes, systems and service expansion strategies. The center is on its journey from a developing organization to a mature captive shared services catering not only to ABS-CBN companies but also to its affiliates in the Lopez Conglomerate.


    The Tax Manager is accountable for the overall operational performance of the tax group.
    • Oversees and manages the work efforts of Tax Specialists and Tax Administrative Staff.
    • Handles the company’s corporate tax matters, involving national or local taxes.
    • Analyzes the ABS-CBN Corporation and inter-company transactions to determine opportunities for tax savings.
    • Reviews the company’s position, practices and procedures to determine whether these positions, practices and procedures comply with the existing tax laws and regulations.
    • Provides assistance to internal and external auditors during the conduct of their engagement.
    • In-charge of people management – performance assessments, coaching sessions and work plan discussions with direct reports; provides guidance on prioritization and work load management; serves as escalation for issues and responsible for driving timely resolution and creation of next steps to avoid future reoccurrence.
    • Works closely with clients, Finance and Operations team, to ensure completeness and integrity of financial information.
    • Ensures strong control environment by upholding compliance standards, internal controls and best practices.
    • Identifies and participates in efficiency and effectiveness improvements via continuous improvement, standardization and implementing system changes.
    • Escalates service issues internally and to external providers to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
    • Delivers a high level of Customer Service through a positive customer focused attitude.


    • Must be a CPA
    • Background on BIR Audit
    • Strong technical skills in Taxation
    • Strong communication skills
    • Those who have handled a team is preferred but not a must.
