The company delivers television programming outside of the Philippines to over 3 million viewers in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and other countries in Asia, through the internet and the Company’s global distribution platform, TFC, using DTH satellite service, cable television channels, IPTV, mobile applications and video streaming services. RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Vertical Video Producer is responsible for editing vertical video content specifically for ABS-CBN News’ digital platforms. The role involves working closely with news teams to select, edit, and enhance video content, applying simple graphics and ensuring videos meet the unique requirements of mobile-first platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong editorial judgment, a passion for video storytelling, and an understanding of current trends in social media video content.

    1. Edit and optimize vertical videos from ABS-CBN News’ pool of video materials for social media platforms such as Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok
    2. Collaborate with members of the News Digital team and other INCA journalists to conceptualize video ideas and turn raw footage into engaging, high-quality videos
    3. Cut, trim, and arrange video footage to create concise, dynamic videos that capture attention within the first few seconds
    4. Suggest and implement simple headlines, captions, and other editorially-appropriate text to enhance the content
    5. Work closely with social media managers to ensure videos are optimized for each platform’s specific audience and requirements
    6. Apply basic motion graphics, transitions, and sound design to enhance video content and increase viewer engagement
    7. Stay updated on social media trends, platform algorithm changes, and video production techniques to ensure content remains fresh, innovative, and platform-appropriate
