RESPONSIBILITIES
The Visual Designer is responsible for delivering quality communication materials thru design and layout to support internal clients. He/She needs to be creative, playful, and passionate, detail- oriented, and can work well with team. He/She will be involved in all stages of a project – from concept development to completion. He needs to be skilled in design & layout using the different software apps and can work in both MAC and PC platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Creative Development
- Design and layout communication materials for online, on-air and on-ground use
- Create logos for new products, event themes and other requirements from other departments and prepare a logo guidebook/quick guide as necessary.
- Create custom illustrations or other graphic elements, artcards and templates needed for print, online, and video production
- Produce sketches or 'storyboards' (TVC) or 'roughs' to communicate ideas to the client / team
- Come up with original ideas in response to a brief from the client; generating creative ideas and concepts to fulfill the advertising needs of the client
- Able to gain an understanding of the target audience and business that the advert is aimed at
- Work on location and attend TVC shoots; attend and art direct photo shoots
- Where appropriate, source royalty-free stock to support marketing communications.
- Develop digital creative concepts that achieve the overall business strategy while creating an exceptional digital experience for consumers
II. Planning and Organizing
- Manage own accounts and projects, working within budget and scheduling requirements
- Adopt a flexible approach to working hours – long hours are often required to meet the needs of the clients
- Ensure that deadlines are met and can work effectively under pressure
III. Creative Decision-Making
- Review illustrative material to determine if it conforms to standards and specifications
IV. Effective Communication
- Able to confer with Creative Head, and team to discuss client requirements and presentation concepts
- Able to confer with clients to determine objectives, budget, background information, and presentation approaches, styles, and techniques
- Able to negotiate with suppliers to determine what services will be performed in a project/deliverable
V. Presentation Skills
- Develop presentation materials and present final layouts to clients for approval
- Create and present PowerPoint presentations
- Able to tell stories with storyboards
VI. Managing Relationships
- Able to promote productive relations with colleagues, clients, as well as vendors including printers, freelance designers, photographers, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of Multimedia Arts, Film, Communications, or any related course
- Mastery of media content production tools and software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, 3D software)
