“MAALAALA MO KAYA” SHARES THE STORY OF TWO SAF COMMANDOS THIS SATURDAY
Asia' longest-running drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya will share the inspiring and heart-breaking story of true heroes of our country as the show pays tribute to the 44 Special Action Force (SAF) commandos who sacrificed their lives for the country.
MMK' two-part special, which will begin this Saturday (April 25), will revolve around the story of two SAF commandos Garry Erana (to be played by Coco Martin) and Rennie Tayrus (played by Ejay Falcon). Despite their love for their family and friends, Garry and Rennie chose to dedicate their lives in protecting their fellow Filipinos.
Discover the challenges and difficulties that Garry and Rennie had to go through in order to fulfill their dreams of serving the country, and witness how hard and painful it was for their families to accept their untimely death while taking on the most dangerous operation they have ever faced.
Together with Coco and Ejay in MMK' special episode is award winning actress Angel Locsin.Also featured in the story are Malou de Guzman, Bembol Roco, Maricar Reyes, Ella Cruz, Rita Avila, Alex Medina, Marx Topacio, Efren Reyes, Trina Legaspi, Denisse Aguilar, Jillian Aguila, Aenah Solano, and Johan Santos. Completing the cast are Cha Cha Cañete, John Vincent Servilla, Louise Bernardo, Macki Billiones, Dale Baldilio, Dante Ponce, Mike Lloren, Michael Roy Jornales, Jed Montero, Dionne Monsanto, and Dang Cruz.This episode is under the direction of Garry Javier Fernando and written by Arah Jell Badayos and Benson Logronio. MMK is led by business unit head Malou Santos.
