Viewers across the country were instantly captivated by ABS-CBN' newest primetime series Two Wives after it ruled its timeslot on its premiere telecast last Monday (October 13).

Based on data from Kantar Media, the program topbilled by Kaye Abad, Jason Abalos, and Erich Gonzales scored a national TV rating of 19.8%, or more than seven points higher than its rival program Hiram Na Alaala (12.1%).

It also generated buzz online when Two Wives and Kaye became two of Twitter' worldwide trending topics on the said day.

The pilot episode of Two Wives showed how couple Yvonne (Kaye) and Victor (Jason) struggle to provide for their family, and how Victor and single mom Janine (Erich) crossed paths.

The episode also surprised viewers with Kaye and Jason' provocative love scene.
