The College of Arts and Sciences and the Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral ng Komunikasyon AUF Chapter (SAMASKOM AUF Chapter) – a non-mandated organization from the College of Arts and Sciences – recently held its 3rd Pampanga Media Congress on February 03, 2018 at the AUF Sports and Cultural Center. The congress aimed to strengthen the knowledge of AB Communication students in the different fields of communication. With the theme “Media in Action”, the congress invited students all over Pampanga to listen to guest experts in various fields of communication in sharing their knowledge and experience in the industry. ABS-CBN Integrated News and Current Affairs’ Dabet Panelo and TV Production’s Rose Casala held workshops on “Determining Fake News” and “Media Production” respectively.

Rose Casala Project 222 Internship Program Communication and ECE students looking to have hands on experience in production has a chance to be part of this year’s Project 222 Internship Program. Among its objectives is to reach out and provide interns a holistic experience in TV Production through a combination of creative lectures and immersion on projects within their required hours, tapping both production and new media. Qualifications: • CURRENTLY ENROLLED and is a COLLEGE student • Enrolled in Communication and ECE related courses • Student should be 17 years old and above • Must be amenable for date of deployment: first week of May to first week of June 2018.
