Description
The Archival Producer reviews and identifies legacy program episodes with missing or inaccurate information. The Archival Producer analyzes each episode, verify key details, and create accurate descriptions and tags to build a master list for the digital archive.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and identify archival News and Current Affairs shows from the digital archive, ensuring files are correctly matched to its program and airdate when possible.
- Watch/skim through, analyze, and summarize episode content to create episode descriptions,
- Identify key subjects, topics, personalities, locations, and events featured in each episode and generate appropriate metadata tags.
- Cross-reference available internal data records, logs, or external sources to confirm episode details and resolve possible discrepancies.
- Create and maintain a consolidated master list of all identified episodes, including titles, descriptions, tags, airing dates, durations, and any relevant notes.
- Maintain organized files and research records, ensuring all work is properly documented for future reference.
- Able to adapt to workflow of using Avid/Newscutter/Interplay/Aspera systems for previewing and research.
- Works closely with BD News Library in requesting for archived episodes for retrieval.
- Provide other digital services related to Project.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communication or equivalent in relevant work experience preferred.
- 1-year previous work-related experience required. 2 years of previous work-related experience preferred.
- Strong research and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in content review, media research, archiving is an advantage.
- Familiarity with News and Current Affairs programming, historical events, is preferred.
- Strong written communication skills, particularly in summarizing and tagging content.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated excellence in time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
