The Closed Captioning Specialist is in-charge in ensuring the quality of closed captioning provided for mandated and scripted company-produced/acquired programs, movies, digital originals, and other pertinent content. As well as closed caption requirements for online and OTT distribution, both local and international.

– Functions as shift head and ensures that SLAs are met with regard to the closed captioning requirements of mandated & scripted company-produced/acquired programs, movies, digital original and other related content
– Conducts quality checking (QC) by reviewing, revising/editing, and verifying closed caption provided for aforementioned content in adherence to implementing rules and regulations (IRR) issued by the MTRCB. Aligns closed captioning quality standards with online and OTT requirements, both local and international
– Conducts mentoring and training for closed caption providers, both for in-house (Big Dipper) to promote continuous improvement in terms of service; and content owners to allow the latter to validate closed captioning provided prior to airing/publishing.
