Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Oversees production and operations of ancillary and extended content produced for the digital channels and platforms handled and managed by the Global Content Team, including its social media accounts and Youtube, ensuring creation of content that will help hit the targets set by the business. This position is also expected to oversee the production aspect of special projects that may be assigned from time-to-time, e.g. specials, events and coverages.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and executes the content strategy for the digital channels and platforms of TFC and myx based on divisional targets and objectives set by the business
  • Aligns with the Programming team of TFC and the Editor-in-Chief of MYX on performance of content created and published on the various digital channels and platforms of TFC and MYX produced by the team
  • Maintains agility and shifts strategies according to the performance of content produced by the team and considering the trends and topics that may be deemed suitable and effective for TFC and MYX
  • Ensures creative and production quality of all online and on-ground programs, long and short forms of content, and other audio-visual projects assigned to the team according to set guidelines and standards
  • Spearheads brainstorming sessions of new concepts and visual treatment
  • Submits financial reports and prepares request for payments
  • Copy checks scripts prepared by the pool of producer/writers commissioned for the projects and production handled by the team
  • Negotiation and coordination with internal and external operations teams and technical suppliers as required by the team
  • Oversees all aspects of Audio-Video Production
  • Supervises the pool of producers, coordinators, researchers and editors and monitors their deliverables, work schedule and other employee-related concerns
  • Trains, guides and coaches subordinates about performance and what to do to improve work output
  • Handles annual budget in compliance with Management objectives & policies set by Finance group
  • Handles requests from other departments, including those from regional offices
  • Recommends strategies and policies for succession planning and potential employees for career movement
  • Represents the group in all operational meetings
  • Signs HR forms and accomplishes and submits the Output Monitoring Report of the work pool assigned to the group
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational Attainment:

  • Must be a graduate of Mass Communication or Advertising
  • Must have at least two years extensive work experience

Competency Requirements:

  • Must have leadership skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have technical know-how in TV Production
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be willing to work extra hours and be on-call
  • Must have a well-rounded personality and good PR skills
  • Must be trustworthy and of good moral character
  • Must be flexible when given 2 or more assignments simultaneously
