The Digital Livestream Producer is responsible for planning, producing and managing live coverage of news events on ABS-CBN News Digital’s various online platforms. The role involves making editorial decisions on which events to prioritize, making sure livestreams are timely and relevant. This role ensures all produced stories meet high standards of quality and journalistic integrity while driving audience engagement and supporting brand goals.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

1. Monitor daily news developments and determine which events to prioritize for livestream coverage for ABS-CBN News Digital’s various platforms
2. Maintains a calendar of upcoming events, getting relevant information from Futures meetings and wire agency services (eg. Reuters)
3. Oversee end-to-end livestream process from pre-event setup to actual streaming on digital platforms
4. Exercise sound editorial judgment in prioritizing which events to stream based on news value, public interest, and audience relevance
5. Coordinates with Newsgathering team regarding availability of live points
6. Checks wire services for livestream opportunities
7. Coordinates with Technical Desk and Livestream Operators to ensure that livestreams start and end on time
8. Writes compelling and SEO-friendly titles, descriptions, and tags for livestreams, craft catchy titles for thumbnails
9. Able to operate Streamyard for livestream events.
10. Able to make simple thumbnails based on templates provided by the multimedia artist.
