Star Recording, Inc. - or simply, Star Records - was a major diversification move in the evolution of ABS-CBN from a broadcast media to a fully integrated entertainment company. After gaining a solid foothold in film production and distribution (Star Cinema) and merchandising (ABS-CBN Licensing), venturing into the music business was an obvious development. 

Incorporated in February 1995, Star Records began commercial operations in September of the same year, having signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Sony Music Entertainment, covering the entire country except Metro Manila. 

Within a few months, the company managed to set up what has become the largest provincial sales and distribution network, with branches in Cebu, Iloilo, Davao and Cagayan de Oro, complemented by a team of sales representatives for Northern, Central and Southern Luzon.


    1. Participates in brainstorming sessions in the creation of social media strategy, and
    campaigns utilizing available research data and benchmarking with other social 
    media activations and digital companies.
    2. Participates in discussions to determine the appropriate, platform to use, to reach the target 
    audience/customers. Creates and oversees delivery of materials for social media release 
    3. Prepares appropriate captioning for social media postings based on context provided.
    4. Schedules and publishes social media postings. 
    5. Generates, edits, posts and shares content (original text, images or video) that build 
    connections and encourage community building, participation and engagement
    6. Collaborates with different community managers and social media teams on publicfacing messaging and partnership programs.
    7. Communicates, interacts and responds to social media followers and subscribers
    8. Stays up to date on best practices, emerging and trending topics in social media by
    attending social media workshops, synergy, alignments, as may be assigned or required 
    by the Company.
    9. Participates in development and execution of growth strategies for the label’s various 
    social accounts and pages toward strengthening brand presence, identity, and viability.
    10. Provides report on the effectiveness of the social media campaigns and activations 
    implemented in the Label’s releases and projects. 
    11. May we be requested to attend events, meetings – online or face to face in relations to 
    the social media marketing and campaigns of the music releases, content, events and
