Description

The General Ledger Manager will be responsible of the general ledger management. He/She  is responsible in managing and developing a team composed of Team Leaders and Service Owners. He/She will be the technical lead in carrying out projects or initiatives within the general ledger function.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and manages a team responsible for delivering the general ledger operations. The team is in-charge of transactional postings; account reconciliations and analysis (SL-GL Reconciliations); month-end, quarterly and year-end closing and reporting and intercompany accounting.
  • Consolidate financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports including supporting notes to the audited financial statements and other filings.
  • Facilitate balance sheet reviews and assists clients in carrying out projects to maintain quality and integrity of their books.
  • Provide assistance to internal and external auditors during the conduct of their engagement.
  • People Management does performance assessments, coaching sessions and work plan discussions with direct reports; provides guidance on prioritization and workload management, serves as escalation for issues and responsible for driving timely resolution and creation of next steps to avoid future reoccurrence.
  • Work closely with client, Finance and Operations team to ensure completeness and integrity of financial information.
    Technical point-person within the GL Team for GAAP and PFRS application. Responsible in drafting Technical/Process memos or guidelines.
  • Perform FTE analysis to identify optimal headcount required for the GL Team to deliver its commitments to its business partners; Drive continuous improvement and standardization, eliminating non-value added work if any, in order to gain more efficiencies in the service center;
  • Support the Service Delivery Head for site-led activities, in the areas of record management and archiving, audits, trainings, SAP Access reviews and Business Continuity Planning; Prepare the GL Team to adopt new tools as they are implemented.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • CPA
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the areas of External/Internal Audit, General Accounting or GL Management
  • At least 2 years management experience. With background in managing multiple projects/engagements.
  • Preferably with Shared Service Center working experience.
  • Knowledgeable of SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership / management.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and effectively handle changing requirements and priorities.
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Good presentation skills.
  • Experience in supporting cross-functional teams. A team player and collaborator, translating prior knowledge and experience into strong and productive relationships.
  • Amenable to a fixed-term role.
