The Media Solutions Developer is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of web applications and internal tools used in media operations. This role involves working on both frontend and backend components, contributing to feature development, system improvements, and issue resolution. The developer collaborates with senior team members, participates in code reviews, and follows best practices to deliver clean, maintainable, and efficient code. A strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, production environment is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development

•        Develop and maintain responsive user interfaces using React.js, following component design and state management best practices.

•        Write clean, well-structured code using TypeScript or JavaScript with proper typing conventions.

•        Collaborate with designers and product stakeholders to translate requirements into functional interfaces.

Backend Development

•        Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js or Python.

•        Work with databases — writing queries, supporting data modelling, and helping optimize performance as needed.

•        Debug and resolve issues across the full stack in a timely and methodical manner.

Collaboration and Standards_

•        Participate in code reviews and follow the team’s coding standards and development practices.

•        Coordinate with senior developers, backend engineers, and other team members throughout the development process.

•        Maintain clear documentation for code and features as part of regular development work.

 

Qualifications

Education

•        Graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

•        Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Up to 2 years of relevant experience is also welcome.

Technical Skills

•        Solid foundation in JavaScript or TypeScript — fundamentals must be strong.

•        Hands-on experience or academic project work with React.js, including hooks, state management, and component design.

•        Backend experience or exposure using Node.js (Express or Fastify) or Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).

•        Understanding of REST APIs and standard HTTP concepts.

•        Basic working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL.

•        Comfortable using Git for version control in a collaborative development setting.

Other Competencies

•        Able to read and understand existing codebases before making changes.

•        Detail-oriented and takes care in writing code that others can maintain.

•        Communicates clearly and is receptive to feedback from senior team members.

•        Shows initiative in learning and is not dependent on being walked through every task.

Preferred Qualifications

•        Experience with Redux Toolkit or similar state management libraries.

•        Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

•        Exposure to Docker or containerized development environments.

•        Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

•        Interest in or exposure to media, broadcast, or digital content platforms is an advantage.
