JOB SUMMARY

The Online Writer is responsible for providing original content for assigned digital platforms, as well as writing branded content for chosen online assets

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write original content and corresponding captions for the assigned website and select social media platforms.
• Write, research, and produce daily social media content for assigned platforms.
• Keep tab on movie news and pop culture updates for social media posting.
• Cover all assigned movie-related events (press conference, story conference, premiere night, pictorial, on-location shoots, etc.) and conduct interviews of artists and key film crew members as online feature content.
• Identify and plot top-performing videos for re-blast strategy.
• Monitor the performance of assigned published content and make sure all are aligned with the group’s strategies and goals.
• Write branded content, concept pitches and sponsored executions for the assigned digital platforms.
• Assist the Digital Team Leads in monitoring branded social media implementations when needed.
• Attend brainstorms for content planning and special branded executions when called upon.
• Provide copy of e-flyers for movies, digital shows and platforms when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of Communication Arts, Journalism, or any related program
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Enjoys writing about movies, series, and the artists who create them
• Highly creative, dedicated, and passionate
